  1. You will need a PS4 console, PS4 controller, PC, router and Ethernet cables. The PS4 controller is only required for the initial configuration.
  2. Connect the PS4 console and the PC to the router(recommended to use ehternet for the best user experience).
  3. If you do not already have a PSN account then you need to create one. If you already have a PSN account then you can use it.
  4. Download and install Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015:Download
  5. Enable Remote Play on the PS4 console by going into ”Settings→Remote Play Connection Settings” and then ensure the box next “Enable Remote Play” is ticked.                  start_set1.jpg

Initial Connection Setup

  1. Start the PS4PLAY software on the PC. Make sure the PS4 and PC are connected to the router via an Ethernet cable then click Next in PS4PLAY.
  2. Login to PSN on the PS4 console then click Next in PS4PLAY.start_set2.jpg
  3. Select your PS4 from the list in PS4PLAY. If you do not see your PS4 in the list then check all network connections and that your PS4 is on. Then click Refresh in PS4PLAY to refresh the list of PS4s. Check that the PS4 name you selected in PS4PLAY matches the name of your PS4 in the “Settings→System→System Information” page on the PS4 console. If it matches then click Next in PS4PLAY.start_set3.jpg
  4. Enter your PSN Username into PS4PLAY then click Next in PS4PLAY.start_set4.jpg
  5. On the PS4 console go to “Settings→Remote Play Connection Settings→Add Device” and it will display a connection code. Enter this connection code into the PS4PLAY software without any spaces and then click Connect.start_set5.jpg
  6. You should now see the PS4 screen in the PS4PLAY software window. You have now finished the setup and are ready to use PS4PLAY.


Once the initial connection setup has been successfully completed you only need to click the Connect button in the PS4PLAY software to use it.

PS4PLAY Settings

  1. The Button page is used to map the keyboard and mouse buttons to use.
  2. The Mouse page is used to select the mouse settings. To load a mouse setting, click “Open” button and select the mouse setting file, and then click “Apply” button if video window is started.
  3. Press ESC in the video window to exit PS4PLAY.
  4. Press Right Alt + Enter to toggle fullscreen mode.

Multi-Player Support

  1. Connect normal keyboard/mouse/gamepad or other peripherals to the PC for additional players to use with the PS4PLAY software.
  2. Connect a PS4 controller to the PS4 console and press the PS button. Select “New User” and then select “Play as a Guest”.start_set6.jpgstart_set7.jpg
